Meet Dr. Jason Young
A Legacy of Honest General Dentistry in East Cobb
Dr. Jason Young knows a thing or two about serving patients and their smiles in East Cobb — he’s practically been doing it since he was still saving teeth for the Tooth Fairy, alongside his sister, Dr. Julie Tanner.
Together, the brother and sister team, would spend hours with their father Dr. Ken Young in his East Cobb dental office over decades. Dr. Young was known for a legacy of true, compassionate dental care where you always felt at home. It’s a commitment that Dr. Young and Dr. Tanner still carry on to this very day.
Dr. Young wasn’t always sure he wanted to be a dentist like his Dad. He knew he liked working with his hands and completing tasks to perfection. He ended up at his father’s alma mater — The Ohio State University — where he graduated from the College of Dentistry in 2002 and would be putting his dental skills and talents into practice with his sister at Young & Tanner General Dentistry.
Dr. Young has been inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He’s also an inducted member of the Hinman Dental Society of Atlanta. Dr. Young is also currently serving as a Major in the United States Air Force Reserves as a dentist for the 315th AMDS at Joint Base Charleston, SC.
He’s been happily married to his wife Elizabeth for over two decades and the couple share two beautiful children. When he’s not at the office, Dr. Young is usually spending quality time with his family, traveling, or hiking.
Meet Dr. Julie Tanner
Meet Your Highly-Skilled Marietta Dentist
Dr. Julie C. Tanner is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001. She prides herself on providing patients with a personal, special dental experience that’s gentle and comforting. It’s a little something she learned while working beside her father Dr. Ken Young when she was younger.
Dr. Young encouraged his family to be with him at his dental office, where he spent most of his time because helping people and their smiles was a true passion, something he passed down to Dr. Tanner. However, her father also encouraged his children, (Dr. Tanner and his son Dr. Jason Young) to forge their own path in life — which is something they both did and it led them back to becoming family dentists just like dad. (Fun fact: Not before Dr. Tanner spent much of her teen years working as her father’s dental assistant so she could save up for her first car at age 16.)
Fast forward to today, and Dr. Tanner is working alongside her brother Dr. Jason still caring for patients and their smiles in East Cobb. Dr. Tanner is now an inducted member into the Hinman Dental Society of Atlanta. She’s been happily married to her husband Geoff since 1999 and the couple has two amazing children.
Outside of the office Dr. Tanner loves being outdoors doing activities such as walking, running, biking gardening, going to the beach, and hanging out with her family, friends, and two dogs.
Meet Dr. Lily Bock
Your Trusted, Talented East Cobb Dentist
Dr. Lily Bock is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2002. While studying to become your East Cobb dentist, Dr. Bock met Dr. Tanner and the two were good friends. Fast forward to today, and now their co-workers.
Dr. Bock is committed to helping patients and providing dentistry that’s gentle, compassionate, and dedicated to improving your oral health. She carries on the traditions and well-known level of personal dental care created by Dr. Ken Young so many decades ago.
Dr. Bock is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. She also serves as a volunteer at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Atlanta.
When she’s not busy being a dentist, Dr. Bock is usually spending time with her husband and their two sons and daughter. She’s also a fan of traveling and experiencing new places, cooking, reading, and gardening.
