Meet Your Highly-Skilled Marietta Dentist
Dr. Julie C. Tanner is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001. She prides herself on providing patients with a personal, special dental experience that’s gentle and comforting. It’s a little something she learned while working beside her father Dr. Ken Young when she was younger.
Dr. Young encouraged his family to be with him at his dental office, where he spent most of his time because helping people and their smiles was a true passion, something he passed down to Dr. Tanner. However, her father also encouraged his children, (Dr. Tanner and his son Dr. Jason Young) to forge their own path in life — which is something they both did and it led them back to becoming family dentists just like dad. (Fun fact: Not before Dr. Tanner spent much of her teen years working as her father’s dental assistant so she could save up for her first car at age 16.)
Fast forward to today, and Dr. Tanner is working alongside her brother Dr. Jason still caring for patients and their smiles in East Cobb. Dr. Tanner is now an inducted member into the Hinman Dental Society of Atlanta. She’s been happily married to her husband Geoff since 1999 and the couple has two amazing children.
Outside of the office Dr. Tanner loves being outdoors doing activities such as walking, running, biking gardening, going to the beach, and hanging out with her family, friends, and two dogs.
